May 25th Missing Children's Day
Get involved. Participate in the May 25th Missing Children's Day activities in your community. If you don't know what is planned, call your governor's office, local television stations or newspaper and ask what is planned for this important day. If they don't know, ask them why they don't. Suggest to the media that they make it a significant news story -- because it is! Remember, almost one million children are reported missing every year. Those are staggering statistics.
Send us your suggestions or comments to further the NOT WITH MY CHILD! You Don't! campaign. We would love to hear your ideas, and appreciate your involvement, diligence and caring.
Visit our Ways You Can Help and Show Your Concern sections for additional ways you can make a difference.
There are many ways all of us can help missing kids and their families. And, we must also do all we can to protect our nation's children from falling prey to those who want to do them harm by influencing the enactment of tougher laws, and encourage stricter enforcement of those already on the books.
An old, but wise adage is: 'If not now, when? If not us, who?' On behalf of OPERATION LOOKOUT® and our missing children and their families, thank you for your participation.
