Yello Dyno and Internet Safety

Predators have found easy access to an unguarded playground, the Internet.

"One in five children (10 to 17 years old) receive unwanted sexual solicitations online." - According to Highlights of the Youth Internet Safety Survey conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice

Kids are growing up in an age of technology with millions of Internet
highways un-patrolled. Here's a valuable note for you: Ask your students in third through sixth grade about their Internet use and be ready to be surprised!

Roadrunner is racing into our lives. As educators we are mistaken if we
think poor and high-risk students have little access to the Internet. Internet access is becoming as easy and basic as telephones and television.

In one class period you can teach Yello Dyno's Play It Safe On The Internet, through an interactive story that ties in the concept of Tricky People to those unseen faces "charming" our kids Online.

Learn about Yello Dyno's Play It Safe On The Internet and read part of the lesson story: "Shannon could hear the footsteps behind her as she walked towards home. The thought of being followed made her heart beat faster..."
