(October 7, 2004) — SAVANNAH — Wayne County Sheriff's detectives have located four missing children from Texas and arrested the local man who allegedly took them.
Theodore E. Moody, 29, of Iocco Road, was arrested at his home yesterday after investigators found the four children living with him.
The children allegedly were taken from their home in Texas about a month ago. Sheriff's officials did not release the children's names or their relationship to Moody. A Texas court had ordered Moody to have no contact with the children.
The four children were placed into the custody of Wayne County Child Services. They are expected to be returned to their home within the next few days.
Moody was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held at the Wayne County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond.
Moody also faces charges in Texas.
