As you can imagine, it is a difficult and painful time for family members and friends of a missing child.

YOU can bring hope and encouragement to these families by becoming a poster partner. Throughout the years, many missing children have been found and reunited with their families because someone recognized a child featured on a poster.

Posters may be copied in color or black and white in any quantity. Once a child’s picture appears on our Website, you may “download” and print an identical poster simply by clicking on “Download this Poster” on a child’s description page in the Photo Directory.

Helpful distribution tips for poster placement may be:

  • Your personally owned business, shop, office, or business where you work.
  • Employee lounges, back rooms and break rooms — in places that do not display posters in public.
  • Fast food establishments
  • Malls
  • Schools
  • Grocery and Convenience stores
  • Community and Teen Fun centers
  • Places of Worship
  • Youth Centers
  • Daycare centers
  • Shelters
  • Transportation stations (train, airport, taxi, ferry, bus, etc.)
  • Local Police/Post Office
  • Other public places where high public traffic can easily see the poster.

Some facilities may require posting permission. Please check with management for permission to display the posters.

Distribute copies to friends and family members so they can participate in the search, especially during family holidays and vacation times as they travel, or encourage them to go to our Website www.operationlookout.org for copies. When your posters becomes weathered and worn out, replace them to prevent removal. Keep lists of where you placed posters so you can remove or replace them in the future.

Sighting calls will go to our toll-free Helpline at 1-800-LOOKOUT (566-5688), 1-800-782-SEEK (7335) or 1-425-771-SEEK (7335) or by email: casework2@operationlookout.org. We will relay all positive leads to the law enforcement office involved in the case.

Thank you for helping to distribute posters throughout your community because:

‘Every Missing Child Deserves a Chance to Be Found!’ ™

Display ads on behalf of missing children not only provide another avenue for locating missing children and an important community service, but also encourage families with runaways, family and stranger abductions to call for free help.

Because the Operation Lookout’s budget is allocated to providing extensive services at no cost to victim-families, no additional funds are available for paid advertising, as you can imagine. Simply by donating a little space for a display ad (text only or with the picture of a missing child) in your newspapers, magazines, or other approved printed material, your company would be included in our national campaign, "A Million Hearts for Missing Kids!”

For your convenience, Operation Lookout will provide camera-ready artwork according to your specifications. We would appreciate receiving at least one copy of the tear sheet of our first donated display ad, and we will provide stamps and address labels to accommodate the mailing.

There are many other creative ways that you can help to display missing children ads. The mobile advertising billboard company, Rolling Billboards USA, below is a good example. They have generously donated valuable space on their mobile advertising to help in the search of innocent children. Keeping their images before the public is the best way to do that.

Rolling Billboards & Signs, LLC
Fort Lauderdale, Florida www.rollingbillboardsusa.com

In return for your act of kindness, you will receive recognition on the Corporate Sponsors page of our Website hosted by our International Executive Spokesperson, Dyan Cannon.

Please also consider adding one of our banners to your Website. It may not only lead to the recovery of a missing or abducted child, but will provide vital information to the public in need of knowing WHERE TO TURN FOR HELP, as well as offering prevention and educational information to help keep other children safe. Your generous act of volunteering a few seconds to apply labels to your mail will help bring more children closer to home. The kind of anguish the family of a missing child suffers is something most of us struggle to even imagine. But, together, we can make a difference and help keep their hope alive by circulating the photo of their missing child across the country.

In the past year, hundreds of missing children featured on labels and in places like posters, media display ads, store receipts, on highway truck banners, and the missing children’s Website album, were located because of the watchful eyes of the public.

Operation Lookout’s distribution of missing children’s photos is extensive. Disseminating the photos of these innocent children has led to hundreds of children being recovered, over the years.

As a Label Partner you will receive free labels of missing children like the one above to apply to your outgoing mail.

Please email your request for free labels to: info@operationlookout.org. Include your name and mailing address, and the labels will be sent out to you without delay.

Thank you for caring about missing children. The life you help recover today, may touch yours tomorrow.

Operation Lookout disseminates photos of missing children in various ways, such as: posters, media display ads, store receipts, on highway truck banners, and in the OL missing children’s Website album, The use of stickers on vending machines is yet another way to assist in locating missing and abducted children.

Displaying missing children stickers provides many rewards to vending machine owners:

  • A charity with a worthy cause, like Operation Lookout, helps vending machine owners to secure prime, high-traffic locations for their equipment. Store owners and merchants often give preference to vendors involved in community efforts.
  • Stickers on vending machines assists in locating missing and abducted children.

The royalty fees are not based on the income of the machines, but are a set monthly royalty fee. The royalty fee IS NOT a donation to Operation Lookout. Any donation you desire to make to Operation Lookout is in addition to the monthly royalty fee.

As a partner in Operation Lookout’s vending machine sticker program the following policies apply:

  • As the vendor you are NOT fundraising or soliciting donations on behalf of Operation Lookout.
  • Vendor must not misrepresent itself as a fundraiser, non-profit organization, or as being in legal partnership with OL, but as co-venturer.
  • Vending machine owners or their representatives MUST NOT do fundraising on behalf of Operation Lookout without an approved application and signed agreement on record. For those desiring to do fundraising on behalf of Operation Lookout, most state laws require registration in the state in which the vendor conducts business.
  • Vendors MUST display name, phone number and the OL issued Vendor # on or beside all OL education labels, clearly indicating ownership and a maintenance service phone number for the vending unit and that the unit is not the property of OL, as applicable by law.
