MANATEE COUNTY — Authorities say a 14-year-old girl who was reported
missing more than a month ago was found safe Thursday in Tennessee.
Investigators grew concerned in late September after the girl’s mother,
Denise White, got a call from her daughter.
Andrea White, who had run away in August, said the man she was traveling
with, Adrian Bautista-Garcia, would not let her leave. Authorities issued
a missing child alert.
Andrea White was located Thursday in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is in
child protective custody and will be returned to Bradenton, officials
said.
Sheriff’s officials say Garcia-Batista, 23, who has not been found, will
be arrested on the charge of interference with child custody.
