MEDINA, Ohio – Abduction attempts are being reported in several counties
throughout northeast Ohio, NewsChannel5 reported.

Abduction attempts were initially reported in Stark County, but more
attempts are being reported in Medina and Summit counties.

WEWS reported a mother chased a man away from a group of girls in
Montville Township, which is located in Medina County 10 days ago.

A similar case was reported in Norton, which is in Summit County.

Last week, WEWS reported Gage Barton, 6, was riding his bike in front of
his house when a man tried to get him in a car. The boy managed to run to
a neighbor’s house.

Most of the cases that have been reported are in Massillon. The most
recent one happened Friday.

In that incident, a man stopped on 23rd Street and told a 12-year-old
girl to get in his van, WEWS reported.
