An Ellensburg teen reported as a runaway last week was found Thursday
morning alive and well in an Ellensburg mobile home park.
Savanna Sherman was picked up by police sometime Thursday morning in the
Cascade Trailer Court, Kristy Sherman said.
“They called us around 11 a.m. and wanted to know what we wanted to do
with her,” Sherman said. “We told them to bring her home.”
Sherman said her daughter was unharmed by the ordeal and said the girl
has not disclosed any information on her whereabouts for the past week.
Sherman said her daughter will be receiving counseling through an
in-patient facility for emotional issues to help her better cope with the
decision making process.
Savanna Sherman was first reported as a runaway Feb. 4 when she
disappeared from school after becoming upset with her parents. Sherman
said she is “thankful to the police and all the people” who assisted her
in finding her daughter, and said “thank the Lord she is OK.
