OPERATION LOOKOUT® National Center for Missing Youth has a PT/FT weekday, volunteer opening for an in-training or CERTIFIED CHAPLAIN. The Chaplain's role is to help victim families with tangible and practical need resources, networking with viable community/church resources; providing compassion and prayer with our client families traumatized and victimized by the missing and runaway child crisis they are enduring; and to share from a spiritual perspective with our staff. Empathy, practical and spiritual knowledge from a Biblical perspective required. No casework is involved. Some one-on-one phone contact with located youth and their parents is anticipated. OPERATION LOOKOUT® provides a local, national and international service — thus most contacts are indirect rather than in-person. We encourage retired and those newly introduced to the chaplaincy to apply. The chaplain applicant must be willing to be trained in victim issues. Training is provided regarding custodial interference's, child abductions, and runaways. The chaplain will work with, and answer to, Head of Casework and Executive Director. Must commit to working from our Everett, WA office. Flexible hours. Volunteer, Intern and Work Study positions available.
